WaterTectonics Highlighted as Low-Energy Treatment Technology for Water Reuse in Report by Carollo Engineers

Municipal wastewater treatment is the largest segment of water treatment in the United States and globally, and it is an area that is greatly in need of new solutions in the years ahead. With aging infrastructure and increasing regulations, municipal wastewater treatment plant operators face a variety of challenges. In this new report by Carollo Engineers, a team of researchers identifies and highlights technologies in various stages of commercial deployment that could be applied at wastewater treatment plants. The focus of the report was to identify low-energy treatment schemes as opposed to the conventional primary and secondary treatment methods that were more energy intensive. WaterTectonics’ electrocoagulation technology was highlighted as one of only three tertiary filtration technologies in the report. To access the full report, click here.
