Meet our #EmployeeSpotlight TJ Mothersbaugh. TJ was born and raised in Bothell, Washington. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Pacific Lutheran University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington Foster School of Business.
TJ’s passion for science and technology started in 6th grade when he took 1st place at his school science fair for his model and poster on electrocoagulation. He officially joined the WaterTectonics team in 2003 and worked as a summer intern from 2003-2007. He spent his summers in the field helping to install treatment systems and in the lab working on research. He has fond memories of driving into Seattle to work at the company’s first fabrication facility at Fisherman’s Terminal.
After joining the company full-time in 2008, TJ worked his way up through various roles in the company and wore many hats as a Technical Sales Engineer, Industrial Sales Manager, and Business Development Manager.
TJ enjoys working directly with clients to help them evaluate difficult problems and develop creative solutions. He’s proud of the hundreds of clients he’s been able to work with over his 13 years at WaterTectonics and thankful for the trust they’ve placed in him. He enjoys the diversity of his job and that every day can bring him to a new corner of the world or to an industry he never knew existed.
When not working, two of TJ’s favorite things are happy hour dates with his wife and playing pretend with his two young sons.
