Meet our Employee Spotlight Nathan Castillo. Nathan was born and raised in Mountlake Terrace, WA. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting at Central Washington University and holds an active CPA license.
Over the years, Nathan has been well steeped in the world of accounting and finance at several Northwest companies including Kenworth Truck Company (a division of PACCAR), Continental Mills, and Sun Gro Horticulture. In these roles, he’s supported acquiring & selling entities from 10-100+ million in value; built teams to support centralizing departments & double-digit growth; and secured traditional & non traditional financing contributing to expansion.
Nathan joined the WaterTectonics team in 2013 working his way through various roles in the company as a Senior Accounting Manager, Controller, and is currently our Director of Finance and an Officer of WaterTectonics. Today he manages various areas of Finance including budgeting, forecasting, evaluating capital expenditures, managing annual audits, supporting negotiations through financial modeling, and managing banking/financing relationships with providers. In addition, Nathan leads the accounting team that keeps our company focused on future sustainability and growth.
When not working, Nathan enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons, traveling, snowboarding and coaching his kids baseball teams.
