Vermont Nuclear Power Plant Decommissioning – Reactor Water Treatment

Based on the success of a similar project with our client, WaterTectonics was asked to come up with a treatment solution to improve and maintain the water clarity for highly contaminated underwater work. The project had significant water contamination and clarity issues due to ultrafine particles produced in the decommissioning. Settling and ultrafiltration were selected to operate in the hazardous location. The treatment equipment allowed remote submersible camera surveillance, cutting equipment, and demolition divers to perform uninterrupted resulting in significant cost savings to the client.
