University Village is one of Seattle’s premier retail destinations. As an anchor tenant, QFC plays a major role in bringing customers to the village. To meet the increasing demands of the community, QFC is building a new two-story parking garage adjacent to its store that will add 638 additional parking spaces. This project operated under an Administrative Order with strict discharge requirements on heavy metals, total petroleum hydrocarbons, petroleum aromatic hydrocarbons, trichloroethylene, methyl ethyl ketone, and acetone. WaterTectonics’ 300gpm WaveIonics electrocoagulation treatment system in addition to carbon polishing filtration treated all site groundwater and stormwater collected during the project.
