Since 1932, Tidewater has evolved from a single-operation barge line into a multi-modal transportation company serving the diverse transportation needs of the Pacific Northwest through an integrated systems of towboats, barges, and terminals located on the Columbia-Snake River System. Tidewater operates along 465 miles of waterway extending from Lewiston, Idaho to Astoria, Oregon, a corridor that includes 28 country grain elevators, seven export elevators, and 36 individual port districts all with varying transportation needs. Tidewater is certified by the American Waterway Operators as a Responsible Carrier in recognition of their safety programs and environmental stewardship.
