In the on-going development of Seattleās newest neighborhood, South Lake Union, Vulcan Real Estate is rehabilitating the 100 year old Supply Laundry Building and constructing two new residential buildings housing 278 apartments. The old smoke stack that belonged to the former laundry facility was an iconic neighborhood symbol and will be restored as part of the preservation process. WaterTectonics was selected by general contractor, Exxel Pacific, to provide chemical treatment, bag filtration, and carbon filtration systems for the project. Currently planned for completion in Fall of 2013, the new apartment complex will be called Stack House Apartments. The project is targeting LEED Gold certification.
