WaterTectonics was invited to bid on this large industrial stormwater improvement project for a major Portland-based metals recycler. As part of a head-to-head evaluation conducted over multiple years and involving side-by-side treatability studies and side-by-side field pilot studies, WaterTectonics was ultimately selected to design, build, and supply the full-scale treatment system. The owner’s engineer cited reduced chemical consumption, reduced sludge, and reduced environmental hazard risk with WaterTectonics’ proposed solution which utilized electrocoagulation, clarification, filtration, and carbon adsorption. The system included a comprehensive operations maintenance manual and was so user friendly that the client’s site operators were able to run successfully with minimal outside support.
