Portland Cooling Water – Sanitary Pre-Treatment System

A long time WaterTectonics customer operating an industrial facility with a closed loop process water system needed a solution to address periodic discharges of excess water to the sanitary sewer. While the system recirculated water for cooling equipment, intermittent discharge events were creating challenges in meeting zinc limits set by the facility’s sanitary sewer permit. To address these compliance concerns, WaterTectonics provided a 50gpm chemical treatment, settling, and filtration system designed to integrate seamlessly into the site’s existing process water infrastructure. The retrofit system was customized to fit within a small footprint, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations. This upgrade enabled the facility to consistently meet discharge requirements, providing a dependable, long-term solution for managing zinc levels while supporting continued use of their closed-loop cooling system.
