Located in the Piceance region of Western Colorado, WaterTectonics worked with a major North American energy company during a two-year operation to treat more than 500,000 barrels of flowback water with the WaveIonics electrocoagulation system. The system was utilized on multiple completion operations in the region with the primary focus of treatment on removing total suspended solids from flowback water during the fracturing process. With project timelines and operation requirements constantly fluctuating, WaterTectonics was required to have the WaveIonics system ready to process 24/7. During one event, WaterTectonics processed for more than 17 days straight with no down time or loss in performance.
