Mining Water Treatment Plant – Engineering and Design Development

A long-term WaterTectonics client approached us to address TSS (total suspended solids) and ammonia issues in their Canadian water treatment plant, caused by varying drilling mud and graphite content. They also aimed to reduce operating costs. Tasked with integrating new treatment equipment within the existing plant infrastructure, WT delivered a tailored solution. Our process began with an initial site evaluation, followed by designing a detailed treatment process to tackle the complex water issues. To ensure precise equipment sizing, WaterTectonics utilized Lidar (3D scanning) technology to measure all existing equipment accurately. As the Engineer of Record, WT is providing a P.E. stamped design through our in-house Canadian Professional Engineer. Our comprehensive services include full water treatment plant redesign plans, civil and structural engineering, and construction management support. Upon completion of the plant redesign, WaterTectonics will oversee the commissioning and startup of the new water treatment system. This project showcases our expertise in retrofitting advanced treatment solutions within existing infrastructures to meet our clients’ unique challenges and operational goals.
