Maywood Hills Elementary Campus Improvements – Construction Stormwater

As part of the 2022 Capital Bond improvements for the Northshore School District, Maywood Hills Elementary in Bothell, WA underwent major site upgrades to improve safety, accessibility, and campus usability. These improvements included a new two-story classroom building, expanded parking and pick-up/drop-off zones, and enhancements to overall site circulation and outdoor spaces. WaterTectonics was selected by general contractor Lease Crutcher Lewis to provide stormwater treatment services during construction activities. With extensive ground disturbance and grading involved in the project, managing stormwater runoff to meet permit requirements was critical. Our team deployed a chemical treatment system designed to treat both turbidity and pH—two key parameters for compliance under Washington’s Construction Stormwater General Permit (CSWGP). By using real-time monitoring and automated dosing technologies, we were able to keep discharge water within regulatory limits and ensure uninterrupted progress on site.
