Our client operates several beach-side restrooms on the island of Maui that utilize a septic tank system. Due to the potential of both environmental and health issues should the septic tank malfunction, WaterTectonics was asked to assess the system in this environmentally critical area on the beach. It was determined that the best plan of action was to convert the beach-side septic system by installing a pump station leading to a gravity sewer for handling wastewater. This ensures both safety and water compliance going forward.
