A hotel and resort located along the Kohala Coast of Hawaii implemented a Dynamic Scale Remover (DSR) system to improve cooling tower performance while supporting the property’s sustainability goals. Designed specifically for cooling water applications, the electrochemical treatment system helps reduce water consumption and minimize reliance on traditional chemical treatment, providing a more sustainable approach to cooling tower operation.
The Dynamic Scale Remover (DSR) system controls scale formation, minimizes corrosion, and manages biological growth while allowing cooling towers to operate at higher cycles of concentration. By improving water-use efficiency, the system helps reduce makeup water demand and cooling tower blowdown while supporting reliable system performance.
Installed as a modular solution, the DSR system provides simplified operation and maintenance while helping the facility reduce its environmental footprint. The project demonstrates how innovative cooling water technologies can help hospitality facilities conserve water, reduce chemical use, and improve long-term operational efficiency in water-conscious environments.
