Interbay Self-Storage - Contaminated Groundwater Cleanup

A new 90,000 square foot self-storage facility is being constructed in the Interbay neighborhood of Seattle. WaterTectonics was asked by project consultants, Environmental Partners, to design and provide a water treatment system to meet Administrative Order discharge limits. We dispatched a 100gpm WaveIonics electrocoagulation (EC) unit with a granulated active carbon (GAC) filter. This automated system provides real-time water quality monitoring with zero non-compliant discharges.

In addition, the project’s general contractor brought in WaterTectonics to handle on-site, weekly stormwater monitoring and sampling per the Construction Stormwater General Permit (CSWGP).  Monthly Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMR) were also submitted on their behalf to the Department of Ecology as part of this service.
