Sellen Construction, the largest locally owned commercial construction firm in the Pacific Northwest, was acting as general contractor on the new 4 star luxury Hotel at Southport located at the south end of Lake Washington. They were in need of a solution to treat water run-off from the construction site that could meet state discharge limits to the lake. WaterTectonics was contacted for treatment options. A complete 300 gallon per minute WaveIonics electrocoagulation (EC) system was deployed and allowed for automated pH adjustments as well as alert notifications. The EC system was designed and approved to run unmanned saving on labor, particularly overnight and on weekends. The system successfully performed with zero non-compliant discharges.
