Fraser River Industrial Facility – Stormwater Treatment

WaterTectonics worked with project partners to deploy a 400gpm WaveIonics electrocoagulation treatment system at this state-of-the-art scrap metal shredding facility in Surrey, British Columbia. The site is located directly on the Fraser River with a direct discharge to surface waters. All site stormwater is conveyed to a large underground tank which functions as the source for the WaterTectonics treatment system. The WaveIonics system reduces Total Suspended Solids, Heavy Metals, Emulsified Oils, and other contaminants from  site stormwater. The entire system is controlled by an intuitive process automation platform that sends out alerts to operators when maintenance is required.
