California Metal Recycling – Industrial Stormwater

WaterTectonics worked with this large metals recycling and auto dismantling company to deploy industrial stormwater treatment systems across multiple facilities over many years. The facilities included a range of flowrates (300gpm to 600gpm) and treatment needs with some systems discharging to surface water and others discharging to sewer. Additionally, sites had varying footprint allowances, budget goals, and support needs, but WaterTectonics worked to deploy systems with similar building blocks and interfaces so that each site didn’t require a complete custom solution. The treatment systems collectively addressed issued like suspended solids, heavy metals (copper, zinc, lead, iron), oil & grease, chemical oxygen demand (COD), PCBS, and pH to meet compliance with California Industrial General Permit requirements, along with other region and site specific requirements.
