California Landfill – Mobile Groundwater Treatment System

WaterTectonics designed and built a mobile groundwater treatment system for this landfill client in central California. The landfill had an existing treatment system that utilized granular activated carbon treatment, but a new permit was issued that required additional low level treatment for additional metals. WaterTectonics conducted bench-scale testing and modeling for the project to select appropriate ion exchange resins to address the metals polishing need. The system was constructed on a mobile trailer per client request so that it could be moved around the site as landfill topography changed over the years.
