WaterTectonics was tasked with finding a smaller, less expensive solution to reduce chlorine at a beverage processing plant. The client’s consultant had suggested the use of granular activated carbon (GAC), but this solution had a large foot-print and hefty price tag, additional options were needed. WaterTectonics designed and built a custom chemical injection system complete with flow and chlorine monitoring. The treatment system allowed the operators to dechlorinate or re-chlorinate the city water feed piping to the extraction equipment with the touch of a button. The treatment system used flowrate to accurately dose and showed reduction of chlorine throughout the process using online pre-treatment and post-treatment chlorine monitors.
