WaterTectonics was contracted by Goodfellow Brothers, Inc. for water management support at their 74 acre Amazon fulfillment center project in Troutdale, OR. The three phase water treatment plan developed and implemented by WaterTectonics consisted of the following:
Phase 1: Pre-Wet Weather Program – WaterTectonics designed and installed an AcistBox (Automated Chitosan Injection System Treatment) with filtration at the treatment flow rate of 500 gallons per minute. A separate 250 gallon per minute bypass system for contaminated groundwater included pumps, diversion valving with flow monitoring and detention.
Phase 2: Wet Weather Season – The AcistBox treatment system was upgraded to 1,000 gallons per minute to manage site runoff.
Phase 3: Build Complete – A pHATBox (pH Automated Treatment) was installed to monitor and treat high pH water from permanent subgrade stormwater conveyance.
Over the ten month project, contaminated groundwater and approximately 66 million gallons of turbid stormwater were successfully managed and treated with zero non-compliant discharges.
