WATERTECTONICS designed and implemented a stormwater treatment system for a large petroleum storage and terminal distribution facility. The project requirements included design considerations to enhance system performance and ensure environmental protection. The system components included a detention vault, 360gpm ecoLine B oil/water separator, GAC filtration system, high volume pumps, particulate filtration system, and a pump control and monitoring system. A custom skid was designed and built to mount the pumps, pump control system, and particulate filtration system. The design included redundant pumps and a special pump control system to ensure operational conditions were maintained. The pump monitor and control system was designed to alert facility personnel in the event of a pump failure and automatically switch over to a redundant back up pump. An HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) liner was installed in the ecoLine B oil/water separator to provide additional environmental protection.
