One of the largest and oldest boat building companies in Western Washington, Nichols Brothers Boat Builders is located on an environmentally sensitive harbor. It is the first boat builder being held to a copper discharge limit of less than 4.8 parts per billion in its stormwater effluent. WATERTECTONICS designed and implemented a WaveIonics system to meet this performance requirement, and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) 2009 Engineering Excellence Awards recognized this accomplishment with a Silver award under their environmental category.
