Home to the International Award-winning Salmon Days Festival and one of the fastest growing suburbs in the Greater Seattle Area, the City of Issaquah, WA showcases both environmental preservation and business development. In response to the population growth in the region, Swedish Hospital targeted Issaquah to build its newest facility, a 175 bed acute-care hospital, outpatient cancer center, and five-floor medical office building. Working alongside prime contractor Sellen Construction, WaterTectonics assisted in design and permitting of a water treatment system for submittal to the Issaquah Major Development Review Team. Ultimately, WaterTectonics deployed a 300gpm WaveIonics treatment system for the project for the first phase with an additional 300gpm unit following during the second phase. This ability to provide scalable system units helped keep costs low and allowed the contractor flexibility to adjust treatment needs over the course of the project.
