Modeled after the Pearl District in Portland, The Spring District is a 36-acre environmentally sustainable, transit-oriented, mixed-use urban neighborhood currently under construction in Bellevue, Washington. The 16 city blocks will feature commercial, residential and retail tenants, including hotels, restaurants and diverse local shops. In total, there will be over 5.3 million square feet of space in buildings ranging from six to 12 stories. Phase 1 construction was awarded to Howard S. Wright who contracted with Northwest Construction for the civil and earthwork part of the project. WaterTectonics worked with Northwest Construction to provide 1,000gpm of on-site Chitosan-Enhanced Sand Filtration (CESF) treatment.
