WaterTectonics worked with project partners to deploy a 300gpm WaveIonics electrocoagulation treatment system at this busy scrap metal processing yard in San Jose, California. In addition to electrocoagulation, WaterTectonics helped integrate upfront detention tanks and post-treatment polishing filtration with activated carbon to meet low Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) discharge limits. The system also significantly reduced concentrations of Copper, Lead, Zinc, Aluminum, and Iron in effluent water. The entire system is controlled by an intuitive process automation platform that sends out alerts to operators when maintenance is required.
