Working closely with the Washington State Department of Ecology, the City of Redmond, WA is working diligently to provide better protection for the environment and comply with new federal and state laws by performing a $40,000,000 overhaul of the city’s stormwater infrastructure. Spread across six comprehensive projects, WaterTectonics was selected to provide the passive stormwater filtration system for the McRedmond regional facility which collects stormwater runoff from 22 acres of commercial downtown area. As part of this installation, WaterTectonics conducted a multi-year on-line analysis of stormwater runoff entering and leaving the filtration system to asses for individual unit performance as well as to characterize the stormwater runoff from the city’s newly combined urban watershed.
