Designed by global architecture firm NBBJ and built by Sellen Construction, the new world headquarters for the Gates Foundation was one of the largest urban construction projects in Downtown Seattle. The 900,000 square foot campus includes over half an acre of green roof space and is targeting LEED gold certification upon completion. During the excavation and civil construction phase, WaterTectonics was selected by Sellen Construction to provide water treatment equipment and service support for the project. This 3-year project included installation of two separate water treatment systems – one for handling of dewatering water and another for surface water runoff. WaterTectonics was able to design and implement a combination of proprietary products and off-the-shelf equipment for this effort.
