This new construction Walmart in Aberdeen, Washington was built next to the Chehalis River, which flows into nearby Grays Harbor. The project operated under an administrative order from the Washington State Department of Ecology and required on-site active water treatment of all construction stormwater throughout the project. WaterTectonics worked with general contractor, Quigg Brothers, to provide design and permitting support and 500 gallons per minute of on-site water treatment using chitosan-enhanced sand filtration (CESF) technology. In addition, WaterTectonics mobilized a PhatBox system to control pH in another area of the site and also helped mobilize 12 storage tanks for handling heavy rainfall events.
